The Conflict Resolution Center

The best way we can explain how we work at the Conflict Resolution Center, is to explain why there is a knot and sword in our logo.
The Gordian Knot is used to describe an unsolvable problem with a simple solution once a perceived constraint is removed.

As the story goes, in 333 B.C., in Gordium, the capital of Phrygian, there was a cart that’s yoke had been tied with “several knots all so tightly entangled that it was impossible to see how they were fastened.” An oracle had declared that whoever could unravel this knot would become ruler of all of Asia.
Alexander the Great was confronted with this knot, and instantly began working towards a solution. After some time, he realized that it made no difference how the knot was loosened, so he stepped back and cut the knot with his sword, outsmarting the ancient puzzle.

In accordance with the prophesy, Alexander the Great would go on to conquor much of Egypt and Asia.
At the Conflict Resolution Center, in everything that we do, we strive to find those perceived constraints and eliminate them, to ensure we can get you the best possible outcome, in the least amount of time and money as possible.

One of the ways we’ve done this is by using Negotiation and Mediation whenever possible to resolve your dispute and using the court system to aid that process to ensure we get all the information that we need timely, so that we can effectively and quickly get you a settlement.

We also realize that no one person is good at everything. Therefore, when you hire the Conflict Resolution Center you’re not hiring one person, but our entire team to represent you. We each play to our individual strengths, and we use some of the most advanced software and systems to keep everything running smoothly and that the best possible person is doing each task. This also allows us to keep costs down, as attorneys are only doing those things that should be done by attorneys (and therefore you’re not paying $250 an hour for an attorney to make copies).

Chris M. Guymon, Esq.

My world revolves around my family, and I would do anything to protect them. I want to help you do the same by providing quality, affordable legal representation.

I fell in love with Negotiations when I was in law school when I was a member of the Negotiations team. As a member of that team I had the opportunity to travel all over the country competing, and frequently was a finalist or winning the competition. I quickly realized that I wanted to build a practice around Negotiating.

With that in mind, I founded Guymon Law, PLLC, which we rebranded to be Conflict Resolution Center. We re-branded for a couple of reasons: (1) I wanted to emphasize that we are a solutions based law firm; and (2) I wanted to emphasize that we work together as a team, and that no one person (no matter how awesome they may be) is more important than another in this team.

When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family, outdoors if possible. I also like to read, especially fantasy books (when I need an escape) and self-help or Negotiation books. With anytime left over, I like to play basketball and the occasional video game (if I can get my wife and kids to bed).

Paul Gosnell, Esq.

Paul’s journey into family law is not just professional; it’s deeply personal. As a loving father who has personally experienced the joy of adoption, he brings a unique perspective and empathy to his practice. With his guidance, countless families have found resolution and happiness through the adoption process. And yes, it’s worth mentioning that Paul’s expertise in adoptions isn’t just professional acclaim – he’s the proud parent of three wonderful children, each adopted with boundless love and care.

Beyond the courtroom, Paul is a fervent enthusiast of college basketball, cheering on his favorite teams with the same zeal he brings to his cases. But his greatest joy comes from traveling with his family, exploring new destinations, and creating cherished memories together.

At The Conflict Resolution Center, Paul Gosnell embodies our commitment to compassionate advocacy and effective legal solutions. With his expertise and personal touch, clients can trust they’re in good hands as they navigate the complexities of family law.

Diann, Office/Case Manager

Hi, my name is Diann and just a little bit about me and why I love working at the Conflict Resolution Center and handling family law cases. I started working in the court system as a Deputy Court Clerk in 2001 and loved my time in the courtroom, but I knew that there had to be more than just listening to court cases in the courtroom. So, I ventured into the Public Defender world as a Legal Assistant in Idaho Falls, Idaho and I loved that work. I felt like I was really making a difference, which led me to Paralegal work. I have experienced many of the things in my personal life that our clients have experienced and some currently experience and I remember through those times thinking, “It sure would be nice if I had someone on my side that really understood what I am going through.” I truly have empathy for our clients and their families and hope that I am able to help some of their most difficult roads go a little smoother and make them feel like they do have someone on their side that understands. I am a mother of three awesome children and 9 of the most wonderful grandkids that there are. I love spending time with my family and my cat, Snuggles.
